Chris Saullo - REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR LOWER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

CHRIS SAULLO - I come from a coal patch town near Hazleton, PA. My mother worked a lunch counter before she got a factory job. My father was a truck driver. My mother still lives in that little town, in the home my father built. Through them, I learned firsthand about hard work.

  • I joined the Marine Corps when I was 17 years old and I served honorably on active duty for 24 years. I’ve been to the Far East, the Middle East and far north to Norway. I am a combat veteran and I also served as a drill instructor, on independent duty, the Toys for Tots coordinator, a Casualties Calls Officer and the senior enlisted Marine at a major command.

  • During my military service, I have led Marines and directed materials. I developed numerous operational contingencies and served on strategic planning teams. I held a Secret clearance and even managed classified material. I have received many awards and commendations for my performance. I hold a Master in Business Administration degree and a bachelor of science degree in Human Resource Management.

  • After retiring from the Marine Corps, I worked as a civilian contractor for the Department of Defense. I represented the US Navy and Marine Corps against the defense industry ensuring wise use of our tax dollars. I worked on the Policy and Accountability team at the US Department of Education in Washington DC. I also achieved numerous certifications during my service in the federal government.

  • Finally returning home to Pennsylvania, Geanine and I have lived in Lower Gwynedd Township for over 8 years. Geanine is a middle school principal in Central Bucks School District. Along with our children, we are active members of Saint Anthony of Padua Parish in Ambler.

  • For my local efforts, I volunteered and was appointed to serve on the Lower Gwynedd Township Parks & Recreation Board. We donated 6 life-saving tourniquet kits to Wissahickon School District. I am a life member in the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

The hallmarks of my life are hard work, discipline, integrity and service. My focus is my family and my community. I have vast experience and great success in many endeavors which have prepared me for the role as supervisor. I have witnessed both the good and bad of the many cultures and societies of our great world and I can make a difference here.

I am a husband, a father and a retired Marine. I am also your neighbor.

I care deeply about our families, our homes, our community and our future. I sincerely ask to represent you; and to bring a fresh perspective to the board of supervisors. I humbly ask for you to choose me as the next supervisor.

Sustained Fiscal Excellence

Whitpain maintains the 5th lowest local tax

burden of Montco's 62 municipalities; is among

only a handful of PA townships with a AAA bond

rating; and has had NO tax increases in 9-years

(with none projected for at least 5 more years).

Innovative Public-Private Partnerships

At minimal cost to taxpayers, we partnered with

multiple organizations to build & operate: (a) new

$7 million, 100-acre park; (b) new $4.5 million fire

station; (c) new $2 million EMT station; (d) an

interim Boys & Girls Club; (e) and complete over

$5 million in improvements to a historic property

that now generates $200,000+ annually for more

open space.

Blighted Community Revitalized

Relentless planning with thoughtful execution

has turned around our West Ambler Village area

which not long ago was blighted by a Superfund

site, dangerous flooding, and crime. A 40+ acre,

multi-municipal park will soon open there.
